Global English Education Athletic Department provides a variety of enrichment possibilities and sport offerings that promote positive life habits and teach our students the value of commitment, sportsmanship and overcoming adversity. These characteristics bring an incredible sense of pride and enthusiasm to all members of our family and embody what we call our Culture of Champions.
Our Student Athletes
At Global English Education, we offer 12 different sports over three different athletic seasons – fall, winter and spring. Once a student reaches the sixth grade, he or she is able to compete on a sports team.
Our middle school is a member of the Houston Junior Preparatory Conference (HJPC). Our high school is a member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), and competes in District 5 (Houston area)-6A, based on the population of our high school.
As a member of the TAPPS organization, we afford our student-athletes the great privilege of being able to compete for District and State Championships against some of the best competition the state of Texas has to offer.
Athletic Facilities
At Global English Education, we take great pride in our new athletic facilities as we hope to provide our athletes and teams with the finest facilities in Houston. Over the last two years, we have opened a new turfed field with stadium style bleachers and a press box, six tennis courts, an eight-lane track that circles our turfed field, and a 1,000 seat indoor gymnasium and 25m indoor aquatic center. These new additions will champion an exciting new time for our school and our athletic department.
